My "grooming" history began way before it became "pet grooming"....

In June 2003 I started working as an assistant for one of the best salons in Northern Virginia. I completed my two year apprenticeship under the careful eye of a wonderfully talented hairstylist who taught me everything there is to know about cutting, colouring and hair styling. I became a licensed cosmetologist in 2005 and have been licensed ever since.

Little did I know at that time, that one day I would not be working on people's hair, but on dog’s.

I've lived with dogs all my life; I am a huge dog and animal lover. I can't imagine not having dogs around; they make my life whole. That's why right now my husband and I own three beautiful dogs: Sasha, Foxy and Kitana (and a cat to top it off).

The idea about grooming pets as a career came to me when I decided to change career paths. After spending six years working for Etihad, I believed it was time to go back to where my passions lie. Grooming just seemed like the obvious choice, since I’d been grooming my own dogs for nearly eight years.

My hairdressing skills and experience really came in handy when I attended the Pet Grooming School of Poland. My grooming instructor is not only one of the best groomers in Europe but he's also the only Polish Grooming Judge in the USA. It was an intensive and insightful course that I believe focused and sharpened my talents and put me in touch with the exciting world of grooming.

Just like hairstyling, pet grooming is a career which requires constant professional growth. There is always something new to learn, some exciting new technique or technology to embrace. And my plan is to stay on top of all of this and to become the best groomer in the UAE.

So let me introduce myself: My name is Nikita, I'm a dog groomer, dog lover, perfectionist....and your dog will be treated like a VIP when he steps into my salon.
