The STUDY ROOM

At THE STUDY ROOM, our environment is supportive and student -centred. We gauge a child's receptivity to learning and respond with "just right" activities. We aim to motivate children to be interested in learning, while their enthusiasm is kept as genuine as possible.

The Rainbow Reading Programme is used to teach Reading and Writing. It has been designed specifically to meet the needs and interests of struggling readers and students learning English. However, because of the wide range of high-interest stories and articles included in the collection, the programme is of interest and benefit to all students.

At THE STUDY ROOM, we understand the many barriers to Maths learning and strive to break down these barriers. We aim to give students the necessary reinforcement, solidifying and extending their Maths skills. To achieve this, we have chosen to use the Numicon Maths Programme. The Numicon approach is multi-sensory, using apparatus and focusing on Action, Imagery and Conversation.
