More about Tango-OK

Oliver Krstic is a passionate dancer, dedicated teacher of Argentine Tango, and DJ Virulazo.

Since 2006, he has dedicated his life to Tango. He has a deep understanding of this dance and his dance style is characterized by musicality, authenticity, elegance and free, organic movement. He teaches the style of Argentine Tango, known as the "Tango de Salon", which is danced socially in milongas (the tango dance event / dance hall) around the world. Pure, authentic and natural, as Argentine Tango should be danced.

Oliver understands Tango as an internal journey. This awakens the creative senses and frees one to express the depth of the soul and nourish the emotional needs of the heart. Tango dancing makes the necessary mental balance possible.

Oliver has been teaching since 2009. His teaching is based on the application of the right techniques, which expand freedom of movement and increases confidence of one's own body. From the beginning, his students receive the necessary methods, independent of their experience, to master the art of Tango dancing through targeted training of body and mind.

- Between 2007 and 2011, Oliver traveled to Buenos Aires every year to learn from famous Tango dancers.
- From 2009 to 2011, Oliver took his first steps as a Tango teacher. He organised courses and workshops in various Lucerne and Zürich Tango clubs, and successfully organised dance projects under the name miMILONGA.
- In 2011, Oliver spent several months in Buenos Aires to learn the art of this dance intensively.
- After his return at the beginning of 2012, he met his life partner, Lin. Together they founded the Tango school, TANGO-OK in Dubai - United Arab Emirates. By the end of 2016, they taught daily in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
- In January 2017 Oliver and Lin relocated to Switzerland where they continue their work with Tango. In April 2017 Oliver was engaged as a Tango teacher by a renowned school in Stuttgart. In May and June 2017 Oliver taught in a famous Tango school in Basel.

In addition to the regular teaching of classical, traditional Tango, Oliver developed a programme called Tango Fitness for people with, among other things, gait and balance difficulties (in particular people suffering from Parkinson's disease). The use of Tango Fitness is suitable for all those who want to promote their health with movement.

Music, gait, stretching and strengthening exercises enable the greatest possible expression of movement, stimulate the emotions to perceive one's own physical sensations. Tango Fitness improves the quality of life, trains the connection between the mind and body, helps to move more consciously and develops a kind of memory function by repetative movements. In addition, Tango Fitness promotes better orientation, expands the freedom of movement, makes a safe and stable gait possible with increased physical perception.

As a DJ, Oliver is internationally recognized and known popularly as 'Tango DJ Virulazo'. He has played the music in countless milongas in Buenos Aires and throughout Europe and Asia.

The golden age of Tango between 1930 and 1950 is clearly his predilection. The traditional Tango Tandas are strictly adapted and equal in the rhythmic, melodic and thematic content.

Oliver speaks and teaches fluently in four languages: German, English, Spanish and Serbian.
