The Philanthropic Organization for Welfare, Empowerment and Research is relatively a new non for profit organization owned by well-qualified and dedicated Afghans working on health, education agriculture and research aiming at achieving sustainable economic and social development in Afghanistan. The employees have multi years of experience and were involved in the management and implementation of BPHS, EPHS, WASH, Empowerment, Youth and Reproductive Health projects in Afghanistan. Also the research department staffs of POWER have more experience in the implementation, Monitoring & Evaluation and analysis of survey / research projects data, especially Health and other field. The POWER operates within four main divisions:
 Access to Basic and Essential Health services and strengthening the health system
 Economic & social development of Agriculture system
 Developing the education system to empower the community
 Research, Monitoring and Evaluation

Mission

is stretching, and we believe it will take decades to achieve in Afghanistan. However, we are determined and holding ourselves accountable with clear, stretching and measurable goals. It strengthens our commitment and passion for the people we serve-today and in the future.

Geographic Coverage

POWER works throughout all regions of Afghanistan in remote districts and provinces. WADAN targets all 34 provinces of Afghanistan from Nangarhar to Herat, from Kandahar to Mazar, from Kunduz to Paktia, from Kabul to Bamyan.

Currently POWER has two projects from our qualified staffs are able to manage and implement grants from government and donors for their satisfaction. POWER is experienced in delivering results through consistent management excellence and offers strategy health, social development research and educational services to businesses in private sector, INGOs and government organizations in Afghanistan.

The Project is funded by UNICEF and implemented through POWER. The inception phase of the project has been started as per the requirement of the donor. So, the Program may be extended accordingly to other districts
