We at Movement Special Needs focus on the child as a being a child like any other.
Play is a key point in any child’s development. For a child play often involves:
- Movement.
- Imagination.
- Motivation.
We see that there is an obvious link between play and movement and every child should have the opportunity to move, because movement is fundamental for a child’s development:
- Movement is essential for learning, as children learn by examining their surroundings and environment.
- Movement leads to interaction with other people. Interaction in turn teaches the child social skills and teaches them about themselves as individuals.
Some children need help to move and to interact with their surroundings and the people in these surroundings.
We aim to give these children the ability to move as independently as possible and in that way open their world to development.
