ABOUT THE FOUNDER

I am a former victim of the street life. After living with my uncle and we could not get along, I ended up on the streets in 2004. I stayed on the street for four months before I got the chance to get back in school.

I joined a soccer team and spent all weeks playing soccer and studying. But every holiday I came back to the streets to help out with street ministries and volunteer in the sport sector. I came up with the idea to start up a soccer meeting time at the field with street kids, which went well, but I had a task of sport equipments which were very expensive and I couldn’t afford them.

I joined a team of people who were learning life skills, like making art and crafts and I became good in making necklaces, bracelets, ear rings and other crafts. I got an ideal that was letting me be making crafts and selling them so I would be able to support the soccer team of street kids that I had started up. It was working though it was slow due to the small market that I had.

When I turned 21 I opened the crafts market to the outside world/our friends in the west and east. In 2011 I sold over 50 necklaces and could put two street children in school as well as I could rent a small roomed house where I could live with four children.

Since then I have been selling handmade crafts to be able to sponsor quality education to street living and working children. By doing this I have been working along many NGOs and CBOs with the aim that there will be no more street children living on streets. That aim is the main reason to why we involve everyone from the community to local leaders, schools and churchs including individuals who have a heart to give in support to children.
