It is believed that Ayurveda evolved in and around 600 B.C. The Siddha system is based on the belief that a healthy soul and mind can only be achieved by a healthy body. Hence, the approach to medicine or treatment is not merely symptomatic. It aims at treating the person as a whole, body & soul.
