Finance is in his DNA and his fascination with Blockchain as a concept is what keeps him up at night.

He is building an ecosystem of products on Bitcoin, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. He is one of the early believer of Bitcoin in India and have also invested in many first generation entrepreneurs here. Some of his other products include GBMiners, CoinBank etc. He has built an online retail marketplace HighKart.com in 2013, India's first e-commerce website to accept 'Bitcoin payment' for products.

Besides being an entrepreneur and visionary, Amit has invested across various industries and companies. A few of his investments are AirBitz, Alpha Point, Air Selfie, Rock Miner and 1hash.

or serial entrepreneur Amit Bhardwaj, bit coins and blockchain held interest while he was still doing a nine-to-five job and he continued to explore these areas even after launching his first venture in 2009. Not many were familiar with bit coins and block chain as far back as 2013, when Amit started HighKart.com, an E-commerce platform for accepting payment in bit coins for products.

A digital currency, bitcoin is not supported by any country’s government or central bank.Also,o known as crypto currency, this money is usually exchanged among users through a network which is called a block and the bitcoin miners confirm these transactions.

But Amit shut down HighKart and founded GBMiners in August 2016 to foray into the mining space.

Amit by then had a decent exposure to the bit coin mining mechanism and was fascinated with how transactions were verified. He recalls, “I was convinced enough to buy a miner for myself and set it up at home.”

Delhi-based GBMiners is a bit coin mining pool where collectives of bit coin miners pool in resources and share their hashing power to solve a math problem or a block, the reward for which is distributed among users based on the proportion of work done.
