PRO-SKIMA means Professional education development and SKIlls MAnagement-Ontology enhanced workplace learning, Empowering Qatar organizations, especially SMEs, with enterprise learning management systems is
part of the 2015 Qatar’s National ICT Plan. The Qatar National e-Learning Portal is part of these
efforts, and offers online courses in IT and business for ICT professionals. However, Several surveys
highlighted that universities and companies do not collaborate enough, particularly at an operational
level and cooperative training programs are looked at as a vital resource for students to gain the
required skills for employment in ICT careers.
The aim of this research project is to analyze and model ICT competences and skills from one side,
and students profiles from the other side in order to apply similarity measures on profiles matching.
