Avani means Earth in Sanskrit. It also refers to the first month of Malayalam calendar which associates with Onam the national festival of Kerala. Onam commemorate the annual visit of Mahabali the Emperor during whose rule all the people were equal, truthful, joyful and merry.
Avani Restaurant is a humble effort to uplift and to retain the traditional Indian cuisine and culture especially that of Kerala.
